What we collect, and what we don't.
We are a research publication, not an advertising business. We have no interest in who you are, and the site is built so that we mostly cannot know.
- You can read every page on this site without giving us anything.
- We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we run no analytics that profile you.
- We only hold personal data if you deliberately send it to us — by submitting an opinion or emailing us.
- We never sell data, and we have no mailing list to add you to.

1Who we are
Enhanced Studies is an independent research collective publishing evidence syntheses and open datasets on performance-enhancement compounds. For any question about this policy or about data we hold, write to hello@enhancedstudies.com.
2What we collect
| What | When | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nothing | Ordinary browsing | Reading the site requires no account and no identification | — |
| Name, credentials, profile link, email, opinion text | Only if you submit an opinion | To verify who you are and to publish your contribution | Until you ask us to remove it |
| Your email and message | Only if you email us | To reply to you | Until the correspondence is resolved |
| IP address, briefly | On form submission only | Rate-limiting and abuse prevention | Discarded after one hour |
| Server logs | Automatically, by our host | Security and keeping the site running | Per our host's retention policy |
We do not ask for, and have no use for, your date of birth, address, payment details, health information or anything about your own use of any compound. Please do not send us any of that.
3Cookies and tracking
This site sets no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, heatmaps or fingerprinting.
Two things may set a cookie in narrow circumstances. WordPress sets a session cookie if someone logs in to administer the site, which will not be you. And the anti-spam check on our submission form is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile, which is designed specifically to verify a human without tracking cookies or building a profile; it may store a short-lived token on the page where the form appears.
If we later add analytics, we will use a privacy-respecting, non-profiling tool, and we will update this page before it goes live rather than afterwards.
4Search Console
We use Google Search Console to see which search queries reach the site. It reports aggregate query and click data only. It sets no cookie on your visit and cannot identify you to us.
5Opinion submissions
If you submit an opinion through the form on a compound page, the terms of that process are set out separately in our submission terms. In privacy terms:
- Your name, stated credentials, verification link, opinion text and stance are published if we accept the submission. That is the purpose of submitting.
- Your email address is never published, never sold, and never added to a mailing list. It exists so that we can verify you and reply.
- Submissions are stored on our own site. We do not pass them to a third-party form or CRM service.
6Our open datasets
We publish aggregate datasets derived from public forum posts. These contain derived counts and distributions only — no usernames, no verbatim post text, no source URLs — and an automated check runs over every release to confirm it. The underlying corpus is never published.
Quotes and cycle logs shown on compound pages are excerpts from public posts, attributed as they were posted and linked to their source. If you wrote something we have quoted and would like it removed, email corrections@enhancedstudies.com and we will remove it. Note that dataset versions already published under a permanent DOI cannot be altered or withdrawn; that is what a permanent identifier means.
7Who we share data with
Nobody, for marketing or any commercial purpose. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. The only third parties that necessarily process anything are the infrastructure we run on: our web host, our domain and email provider, and Cloudflare for the anti-spam check. Each processes data only to provide that service.
8Your rights
If you are in the UK, EU or another jurisdiction with equivalent law, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to our processing it, and to receive a copy.
Email hello@enhancedstudies.com and we will act on it. In practice, the honest answer for almost everyone reading this is that we hold nothing about you at all. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
9Legal basis
Where we process personal data, we rely on your consent (you chose to submit an opinion or to email us) and on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and functioning (abuse prevention, server logs). You may withdraw consent at any time by asking us to delete what you sent.
10Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.
11Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date at the top and, where the change affects data we already hold, contact the people concerned directly.
