Terms governing submitted opinion.
These terms apply to every opinion submitted to Enhanced Studies for publication. Please read them before you spend time writing — they set out precisely whose work we publish without charge, whose we do not, and why the distinction exists.
Effective 2 August 2026 · Enhanced Studies · enhancedstudies.com
1Scope and acceptance
1.1 By submitting an opinion through any form on this website, you ("the Submitter") enter into an agreement with Enhanced Studies ("we", "us") on these terms. If you do not accept them, do not submit.
1.2 These terms govern the assessment, editing, publication and removal of submitted opinion. They do not create an employment, agency, partnership or contributor relationship of any kind.
1.3 Submission does not guarantee publication. Nothing in these terms obliges us to publish any Submission, whether or not a fee has been discussed, quoted or paid.
2Definitions
- Submission
- The opinion text, together with the name, stated credentials, verification link and stance indicated on the form.
- Qualifying Credentials
- A formal qualification, licence or appointment, relevant to the subject matter, held by the Submitter and independently verifiable by us from a source we do not control. Assessed under clause 3.
- Editorial Review
- Our assessment of whether a Submission is accurate, substantive, relevant and suitable for publication.
- Commercial Placement
- Publication of a Submission from a Submitter who does not hold Qualifying Credentials, subject to clause 5.
- Verification Link
- The single URL supplied by the Submitter evidencing their identity and credentials, governed by clause 7.
3Qualifying Credentials
3.1 A Submission is assessed at no charge where the Submitter holds Qualifying Credentials. The following ordinarily qualify, provided they are relevant to the compound or subject addressed:
- Registered medical practitioners — physicians and surgeons holding current registration with a national or state medical regulator, including but not limited to the GMC, the FSMB or an equivalent authority.
- Doctoral researchers — holders of a PhD, DPhil, ScD or equivalent research doctorate in a relevant discipline, including pharmacology, endocrinology, physiology, toxicology, nutrition science, sports science and biochemistry.
- Other licensed clinicians — pharmacists, registered dietitians, physician associates, nurse practitioners and clinical scientists, in each case holding current registration with the relevant professional body.
- Academic appointees — persons holding a current research or teaching appointment at a recognised university or research institute in a relevant field.
- Published researchers — authors of peer-reviewed research in a relevant field, indexed in a recognised bibliographic database, whether or not they hold a doctorate.
- Regulatory and public-health officers — persons speaking in a professional capacity for a medicines regulator, anti-doping organisation or public health body.
3.2 The qualification must be relevant. A doctorate in an unrelated discipline, or a medical registration in a field with no bearing on the subject matter, does not constitute Qualifying Credentials for the purposes of these terms.
3.3 We determine whether Qualifying Credentials are held. Our determination is final. We are not obliged to give reasons beyond identifying which requirement was not met.
4What does not constitute Qualifying Credentials
4.1 The following do not qualify, however extensive the Submitter's experience, audience or commercial success:
- Personal experience of use. Having taken a compound, at any dose, for any period, with any result, is not a credential. It may still be valuable, and we publish a great deal of it — as community experience, clearly labelled as such.
- Coaching, training or preparation practice in the absence of a recognised clinical or academic qualification, irrespective of the number of clients, athletes or competitors advised.
- Competitive or athletic achievement at any level, including professional and elite competition.
- Audience, reach or platform of any size, on any medium, including published books, podcasts, video channels and subscriber lists.
- Certifications issued by commercial providers, including personal training, health coaching, nutrition coaching and functional medicine certifications, where the issuing body is not a statutory or chartered professional regulator.
- Employment by, ownership of, or commercial affiliation with a clinic, laboratory, supplement brand, telehealth service, testing service or coaching business, absent a personal qualification under clause 3.
- Self-conferred descriptions such as expert, specialist, researcher, scientist or authority, where these are not evidenced by a qualification under clause 3.
- Honorary, purchased or unaccredited awards and titles, including qualifications from unaccredited institutions.
5Commercial Placements
5.1 Where a Submitter does not hold Qualifying Credentials but wishes their Submission to be published as attributed opinion, we may offer publication as a Commercial Placement.
5.2 A Commercial Placement is subject to a fee. The fee reflects the manual verification and Editorial Review that an unaccredited Submission requires, and the fact that publication is sought for commercial or promotional benefit rather than scientific record. The fee is quoted to the Submitter individually before any obligation arises, and no fee is payable unless and until the Submitter accepts that quotation in writing.
5.3 Commercial Placements are conspicuously labelled as such wherever they appear, and are ordered below opinion published under clause 3 in every view of the page.
5.4 A fee purchases Editorial Review and, if the Submission passes it, publication. It purchases nothing else. It does not purchase a favourable characterisation of any compound, alteration of our verdict, scoring, rankings or data, removal or moderation of other opinion, prominence above clause 3 opinion, or any editorial position whatsoever.
5.5 Where we decline a Submission after a fee has been paid, the fee is refunded in full.
5.6 We may decline to offer a Commercial Placement at all, without giving reasons.
6Verification
6.1 We verify claimed credentials against independent sources, which may include professional registers, institutional directories, bibliographic databases and the Verification Link.
6.2 Submitters must not misrepresent their qualifications, appointments, affiliations or identity. Any Submission found to contain a material misrepresentation is refused, and any Submission already published on the basis of a misrepresentation is removed without refund.
6.3 Where credentials cannot be verified within a reasonable period, we treat the Submission under clause 5 or decline it.
7Attribution and the Verification Link
7.1 Each Submitter supplies one Verification Link. It must evidence the Submitter's identity and credentials — for example a professional register entry, a university, hospital or clinic profile, or a professional networking profile.
7.2 We do not accept links to commercial destinations, including product pages, online shops, supplement brands, paid courses, subscription services, promotional landing pages or general-interest blogs. Where a submitted link points to such a destination we will require its replacement, and will decline the Submission if no acceptable link is provided.
7.3 The Verification Link is published as an attribution credit so that readers may assess the Submitter for themselves. It is not advertising inventory and is not sold, whether as part of a Commercial Placement or otherwise.
8Editorial standards
8.1 We decline any Submission, whether free or paid, which in our assessment:
- adds nothing a reader would not already obtain from the page;
- asserts efficacy, safety or risk without a stated basis;
- reads as promotion for a product, brand, clinic, service or course;
- provides dosing protocols, sourcing guidance, or instruction in the use of any compound;
- is defamatory, discriminatory, unlawful, or infringes the rights of a third party; or
- we consider unsuitable for publication for any other reason.
8.2 We may edit a Submission for length, clarity, grammar and house style. We will not edit a Submission so as to alter its substantive meaning. The final text is provided to the Submitter before publication.
8.3 Published opinion represents the view of its author. It is not a recommendation, endorsement or clinical position of Enhanced Studies, and does not affect our independently computed scoring of any compound.
9Rights and licence
9.1 The Submitter warrants that the Submission is their own work, that they are entitled to submit it, and that its publication will not infringe any third-party right or obligation of confidence.
9.2 The Submitter retains ownership of the Submission and grants Enhanced Studies a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, reproduce, edit in accordance with clause 8.2, and distribute it on this website and within the open datasets we release.
9.3 A Submitter may request removal at any time and we will act on that request. Removal cannot extend to dataset versions already published under a persistent identifier, which by their nature cannot be withdrawn or altered.
10Personal data
10.1 We collect the Submitter's name, stated credentials, Verification Link, email address, opinion text and stance, together with technical data necessary to prevent abuse.
10.2 The email address is used solely to verify and correspond with the Submitter. It is not published, sold, shared or used for marketing.
10.3 The name, stated credentials, Verification Link, opinion text and stance are published, this being the purpose of the Submission.
10.4 Submitters may request access to, correction of, or erasure of their personal data by writing to hello@enhancedstudies.com, subject to clause 9.3.
11Liability
11.1 Nothing published on this website, including submitted opinion, is medical advice, and nothing on this website endorses the use of any compound.
11.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from reliance on submitted opinion. Nothing in these terms excludes liability which cannot lawfully be excluded.
12Amendment and contact
12.1 We may amend these terms. The version in force at the time of a Submission governs that Submission.
12.2 Questions about these terms: hello@enhancedstudies.com. Corrections to published material: corrections@enhancedstudies.com.
